Skipton Brass has announced the formation of a new ensemble as part of their growing musical organisation.

Brass Ten is a brass and percussion group formed by Skipton’s Director of Music, Adrian Lowes. The group of ten players was formed from players from their own ranks and players from the surrounding area.

Raise funds

A spokesman told 4BR: "Some of the stronger players at Skipton Brass wanted an additional rehearsal per week, so it seemed sensible to start a small group of enthusiastic players to rehearse on another evening.

If we can get them out to work, it should help raise much needed funds for the band."

Debuts

Brass Ten started rehearsing in late June this year and they have their first public engagement on 11th December in Skipton itself.
