Buffet to launch new Urban Play app

An exciting new app is due to be launched that will help your playing skills in all sorts of funky ways...

Urban Play

A brand new ‘app’ to help players develop their practice techniques and skills is to be launched later this month by the Buffet Group.

Urban Play

The world’s leading manufacturer of wind instruments has developed ‘Urban Play’ with the help of top artists, which they believe certainly goes beyond the usual ‘self help’ interactive advice that is currently available.

The exclusive ‘urban’ hip hop/funk flavoured music tracks enable the player to choose between 12 different wind instruments with 3 separate levels of difficulty in an innovative, fun packed way to help with their development.

Platform

The free ‘app’ is also a platform for the artists to showcase their music and themselves as ambassadors of a Buffet Group brand and instrument, although additional tracks can be unlocked, downloaded or purchased by signing up within the ‘app’ home-page.

The ‘app’ also enables the player to use a ‘loop’ playback, solo rhythm section, ‘count in’ feature and tuner, as well as containing information about the artists you play along to and the ability to submit your own tracks.

Just the beginning

A spokesperson told 4BR: “This is just the beginning for Buffet Group smartphone and tablet apps.

As ‘Urban Play’ grows to offer more and more music and new features, we’ll also be expanding towards other styles of music, developing new sections with the same quality audio recorded by artists who play our instruments, and help players become more advanced and diverse musicians.”

The new app will be officially launched on November 15th for all iOS and Android smartphones and tablets.
