DVD set to remember the King of the Super C

A brand new DVD and CD is due for release in time for Christmas of the amazing Derek Watkins Memorial Concert.

There will be a great chance this Christmas to enjoy one of the world’s finest trumpet players and his friends in action, with the timely release of a DVD and CD production of the Derek Watkins Memorial Concert.

King of the Super C

The event was held in March this year and featured a line-up of 75 performers the like of which it was hard to imagine wishing for — all paying tribute to the much loved ‘King of the Super C’ himself.

The concert was designed by Pete Beachill and Simon Gardner as a 'timeline' through the sparkling career of the British trumpet giant, who sadly died on the 22nd March 2013.

Worldwide

Such was the respect he was held in by the music world that stars from all over the globe wished to take part.

Thankfully, the event was professionally recorded, so you can now enjoy the likes of the Spring Gardens Brass Band, Super C Big Band, Super C Brass Ensemble, Serpentine Fire, A James Last Orchestra tribute and a wish list of amazing players along with much, much more…

Release date

The new website will be live by the end of this week at www.derekwatkins.co.uk so keep your eyes peeled to get your hands on a wonderful DVD & CD along with the Super C merchandise in support of Derek’s cancer charity Sarcoma UK.
