They now become the latest leading top flight band to choose the Geneva brand, following the likes of Brighouse & Rastrick — and are delighted with the choice they have made.
Happy
MD, Erik van de Kolk who has been the professional conductor since 2009 told 4BR: “We are extremely happy that we have chosen Geneva Instruments.
During the test period, the sound and projection of the cornets and flugel caught my attention and the flexibility and precision they brought was superb.
The decision will bring more musical unity to the cornet section and an important link to the horns. I believe we will are already enjoying a great enhancement to the overall sound of the ensemble with our new Geneva Instruments!”
Huge musical boost
Brassband Rijnmond principal cornet, Anne Oelers added: “I have played the Geneva Symphony cornet for a while and believe the choice will give us a huge musical boost.
The homogeneous sound and fantastic intonation individually and as a section will undoubtedly be of huge future benefit.”
