National Youth ready for Easter rising under Tovey

The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain is getting ready for its Easter concerts in Salford and Morley this week under Bramwell Tovey.

The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain is currently working hard under the baton of Artistic Director Bramwell Tovey at Harrogate Ladies College in North Yorkshire

Guest Soloist

Also joining them on their Easter Course is guest soloist James Fountain, Principal Trumpet of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, whilst the delegates are also enjoying top class tuition from the likes of Mark Wilkinson, Ben Godfrey, Paul Young, Owen Farr, David Childs, Christopher Jeans, John Maines, Les Neish and Andrea Price.

Concert

The band celebrates its 63rd anniversary this year with concerts on Saturday 3th April (starting at 7.30pm) at Peel Hall, University of Salford, and on Sunday 4th April (7.30pm) at Morley Town Hall.

The programme of music includes, ‘Deo Gloria’ (Tovey); ‘Of Distant Memories’ (Gregson); ‘St. Magnus (Downie); ‘The Night to Sing’ (Tovey); ‘The Night to Sing’ (Kelly Marie Murphy) and ‘Voices’ (In memoriam) (Lucy Pankhurst)
