Cawston retains Champion Band of East Anglia title despite lack of opposition.

The 76th East Anglian Brass Band Association contest recently took place in Norwich where Cawston Band conducted by David Stowell took the Class A honours to retain the 'Champion Band of East Anglia' title — one they have now held since 2010.

Results:

Class A:
1. Cawston Band (David Stowell) — 98

Special prizes:
Best Euphonium: Keith Beckett (Cawston Band)
Best Tenor Horn: Kate Ogden (Cawston Band)

Class B:
1. Castleton Brass (P. Ryan) — 90
2. Wrentham Band (P. Harrold) — 89
3. Fakenham Town Band (P. Speed) — 83

Special prizes:
Best Euphonium: Rosie Carter (Wrentham Band)
Best Tenor Horn: Peter Dixon (Fakenham Town Band)
Best Soloist: James Seabrook (EEb Bass) — Wrentham Band
