The Oxted Band has announced the appointment of Darrell Scholes as its new Musical Director.

The vastly experienced cornet player, conductor, arranger and music teacher began his conducting career as leader of the youth choir at Doncaster's Salvation Army Corps.

Experience

He has since conducted numerous brass bands, including successful connections with Friary Guildford, Horsham Borough and Northfleet Brass. He has been the Musical Director for the South London Fellowship Band for the past two years.
