A spokesperson told 4BR: "Kate brings with her a wealth of Championship Section experience, having played with several top flight bands, most recently with Newstead Brass. Having taken a short sabbatical to complete her degree she is now looking forward to the future at Enderby.

James is currently studying Medical Sciences at Birmingham City University, and has played trombone with a number of brass bands, big bands, and brass ensembles around County Durham. He made his debut with us at the Whit Friday marches."

Both Kate and James have settled very well into the band. Both signings go a long way to giving us a very solid platform and we are delighted to welcome them bothMD, Simon Gresswell
