Carlton Main Frickley Colliery has confirmed its professional conducting team for the 2027 season.

After enjoying working with Glenn Van Looy for their top-10 performance at the British Open this year, they are now looking forward to welcoming him back.

In response, the Swiss based Belgian euph and conducting star said: "I'm looking forward to being associated once again with Carlton Main after our successful collaboration at the British Open. It's always nice to work with hardworking, committed musicians and a great group of people."

Porthouse

In addition, the band confirmed that they will also reprise their relationship with Tredegar MD, Ian Porthouse for the Yorkshire Regional Championships in Huddersfield in March.

He added: "I'm delighted to be renewing my partnership. The band has a great work ethic and desire to succeed. Our previous partnership was not only enjoyable, but also rewarding.

The Yorkshire Area is always a challenge, but one I'm looking forward to. It's always a pleasure to work with Dave Purkiss who prepares the band superbly and continuing the excellent work of Glenn."
