Brighouse stars help inspire new delegates

Stars from the Brighouse & Rastrick help David Thornton inspire 60 delegates in Norwich.

The East Anglian Brass Band Association has just held its annual Brass Training Day at the Hewett School, Norwich, where 60 delegates from the age 8 upwards enrolled for the course.

Tutors and music

The Brighouse & Rastrick Band section tutors were Mike Golding, Joseph Williams, Sheona White, Ryan Watkins and Matt Wade.

The Course Leader was David Thornton (above) from Foden's Band, whilst the music studied included, 'The Royal Trophy', 'The Conquest of Paradise', 'Olympus' and 'In Perfect Peace'.

The players thoroughly enjoying the ensemble experience and in accompanying Brighouse trombone star Ryan Watkins on the featured solo 'Bolivar'.

The 2016 Brass Training Day takes place on Sunday 16th October.
