The Harrogate Band has announced the signing of David and Jen Murray on trombone and euphonium respectively. Both used to play for Becontree Brass before they moved north.

Wealth of experience

Catherine Morland, Band Chairman, told 4BR: "David and Jen (above) have a wealth of banding experience and are very good players. They will undoubtedly improve our performances in concerts and competitions, and we're delighted they chose to join."

The husband and wife duo have already played at a number of concerts and events including Leeds Light Night flash mob, Concert for Christian Aid and the band's own Last Night of the Proms.

Move

As a result of the signings Charlotte King has moved to fill the vacant first horn position, with the band now starting to look forward to 2016 and their first contest outing at Brass at the Guild Hall in Preston.
