As reported on 4BR the artistic collaboration between Indian musician Shri Sriram (above) and Hammonds Saltaire Band has received wide spread critical acclaim over the last few months — with The Guardian newspaper giving the 'Just a Vibration' release a respectable three star review.

Impressive form

Critic Robin Denslow called it: "An entertainingly varied set that would make great film music, with the Yorkshire players on impressive form,"adding that the, "Sitar and brass band work together remarkably well on the grand title track and the slinky Neck to Neck, while on the slow and drifting Tanpura the sound of the Indian drone instrument is reinterpreted on brass."
