Keep your eyes peeled on Christmas Day for the very first appearance of a brand new brass band — and they are making one heck of a high profile debut too.

Weatherfield

The Weatherfield Community Band will be seen performing on the iconic television soap opera 'Coronation Street' — although in reality the band is actually made up of members of Oldham Band (Lees) who were asked to become musical thespians.

In the lead up to Christmas on ITV, members of the band appeared on day time programmes and adverts for the show where the band helps the character of Tyrone bring Lapland to Weatherfield.

Many of the cast have appeared at The Coliseum Theatre in Oldham and made us feel very welcomeOldham Band (Lees).
