The Mayor of Bolton, Councillor Carole Swarbrick, recently presented a four-figure cheque raised from her year in office to Smithills Schools Senior Band MD, Chris Wormald.

She welcomed the conductor and players to the Town Hall Mayor's Parlour as a personal show of thanks for all the outstanding concerts Smithills gave during her year of office.
