National Youth start work under Tovey, Smith and Gray

The talented youngsters on the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain summer course have started work under the batons of a trio of conductors and renowned tutors.

  The National Youth Band of Great Britain is working with the renowned Philip Smith this year on their annual course

The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain is currently working hard on its summer course under the batons of Bramwell Tovey, Philip Smith (above) and Mareika Gray at Harrogate Ladies College in North Yorkshire.

Tutors

The talented performers are also benefiting from the experienced team of tutors Phillip McCann, Tracey Redfearn, Ben Godfrey, Sheona White, Glyn Williams, Christopher Stearn, Mark Landon and John Maines before they round their week off with concerts in Darlington and Morley.

One of the first jobs sorted out has been the allocation of the principal positions within the band, which have gone to the following players.

The talented performers are also benefiting from the experienced team of tutors before they round their week off with concerts in Darlington and Morley4BR
