Best of Brass series line-up announced

There is a fine line-up of bands to enjoy over the coming months at Morley Town Hall as part of the Leeds 'Best of Brass' series.

Carlton Main
  Grand Shield winners Carlton Main Frickley will kick off the Best of Brass series at the end of October.

Tickets are now on sale for the 2016/17 Leeds 'Best of Brass' series which will take place at Morley Town Hall from the end of October through to April next year.

Line-up

Featured bands this year include Black Dyke, Brighouse & Rastrick, Carlton Main Frickley, Fairey, Grimethorpe Colliery, Hammonds Saltaire, Rothwell Temperance and Tredegar.

The first concert takes place on Saturday 29th October with the visit of Carlton Main Frickley.

Tickets:

Tickets are priced £13.50 (£11.50 concessions) for Black Dyke, Brighouse & Rastrick and Grimethorpe Colliery Band concerts and £11.50 (£9.50 concessions) for all other concerts.

Early bird offer of £1 off per ticket if booked before 30th September.

Wantage Silver Band

August 22 • Wantage Concert Brass (1st Section) are looking for a SOLO HORN and PERCUSSIONIST. Under the direction of our dynamic and inspiring MD Daniel Hall. This year we achieved 3rd at the L&SC regionals. We rehearse Tue & Fri 7:30pm- 9:30pm in our own bandhall


Ashington Colliery Band

August 20 • Front Row Cornet & Tenor Trombone. We're a friendly, ambitious Second Section band based in South East Northumberland just north of Blyth. We rehearse Tuesdays & Thursdays, 19:30-21:30, and transport can be provided depending on location.


Putney and Wimbledon Brass Band

August 18 • Putney and Wimbledon Band are looking for a percussionist, ideally tune although the ability to play an anvil is an absolute must! We play exciting music with lots of percussion so there's plenty to keep you occupied.
