BrookWright Music has announced the five finalists for both its Under 18 and Over 18 categories of the 2026 BrookWright International Brass Solo Contest.

A highly competitive first round saw 30 entries from six different countries come under the scrutiny of the adjudication panel, with Brett Baker, Emily Evans, Tom Hutchinson and Les Neish, now independently evaluating the performances to decide the final podium rankings.

Public vote

Parallel to this, voting is now open for the Public Commendation Prize, determined entirely by audience engagement on YouTube.

The voting deadline is Monday, 31st August 31st at 5:00 PM US Central Time. The winners and final rankings will be announced on Wednesday 2nd September.
