Youth deadline looms in Scotland

The deadline for entries for the Scottish Youth Championships is looming.

  The deadline for the Scottish Youth Championships is fast approaching

Youth bands have been reminded to submit their entries for the forthcoming Scottish Youth Brass Band Championships.

Deadline

The announcement from the Scottish Brass Band Association (SBBA) comes as the deadline of 30th September approaches for the event held at Perth Concert Hall.

Preparatory and Novice Sections will feature on Saturday, November 26th with Development, Percussion, Senior and Premier competitions the following day.

Flagship event

John Gilmour, contest controller of the Scottish Youth Brass Band Championships told 4BR: "As a flagship event, the Scottish Youth Championships sees Perth become a bustling musical centre for young brass and percussion players — from those in the early stages of playing to performers with several years of experience.

The deadline for entering is looming and it's important for band leaders to make sure their young players don't miss out."
