  David Hamilton takes the leadership role with Yorkshire Imps

The Yorkshire Imperial David Urquhart Travel Band has announced the appointment of David Hamilton as their new Musical Director.

Since moving to Manchester to study at the RNCM, David has worked with the BBC Philharmonic and Orchestra of Opera North, as well as having performed with most of the country's top bands on the concert and contest platforms.

Winner

A former winner of the NABBC Conductors Competition, David was previously resident conductor at Camborne Town Band and currently enjoys a close relationship with the Blackburn & Darwen and Annan Town Bands.

He also made his Championship Section adjudicating debut at the West Lothian Festival of Brass this year.

He is an outstanding young conductor who is quickly establishing a rapport with the band and extending our musical horizonsBand Chairman Mark Tweedle

David will make his contesting debut with the band at the forthcoming Bolsover Festival of Brass.
