Yorkshire announces adjudicators for 2017 Area

The team of adjudicators that will need to be impressed to get to London and Cheltenham via Huddersfield Town Hall have been revealed.

  Huddersfield Town Hall will host the 2017 Yorkshire Regional Championships.

The Yorkshire Regional committee has announced the adjudication panels that will sit in judgement at the Regional Championships event at Huddersfield Town Hall on the weekend of the 4th/5th March 2017.

Adjudicators:

Championship Section: Sandy Smith and Stephen Roberts
First Section: Ewan Easton and David Hirst
Second Section: David Roberts and Leigh Baker
Third Section: Glyn Williams and Jim Davies
Fourth Section: Marieka Gray and Sandy Smith

Knowledge and experience

Peggy Tomlinson, Yorkshire Regional Secretary told 4BR: "It will be a privilege to welcome all the adjudicators, some of whom will be judging at the Yorkshire Regional Championships for the first time.

Time and place

The event will take place at Huddersfield Town Hall on the weekend of 4th/5th March with the Second, Fourth and First Section (in order) on the Saturday and the Third and Championship Sections the following day.

It is understood that that tickets will go on sale from the Huddersfield Box Office (01484 223200) on Monday, 16th January.

Wantage Silver Band

August 22 • Wantage Concert Brass (1st Section) are looking for a SOLO HORN and PERCUSSIONIST. Under the direction of our dynamic and inspiring MD Daniel Hall. This year we achieved 3rd at the L&SC regionals. We rehearse Tue & Fri 7:30pm- 9:30pm in our own bandhall

August 20 • Front Row Cornet & Tenor Trombone. We're a friendly, ambitious Second Section band based in South East Northumberland just north of Blyth. We rehearse Tuesdays & Thursdays, 19:30-21:30, and transport can be provided depending on location.


Putney and Wimbledon Brass Band

August 18 • Putney and Wimbledon Band are looking for a percussionist, ideally tune although the ability to play an anvil is an absolute must! We play exciting music with lots of percussion so there's plenty to keep you occupied.
