Legendary trumpet stars to take full Fat option at RCM

Matthias Hofs and Mike Lovatt will be performing music from Bill May's iconic 'Big Fat Brass' album at the Royal College of Music late this month — so don't miss them in action.

  The legend that is Mike Lovatt will be on a full Fat musical diet at the RCM later this month

Brass band fans will be given a brilliant opportunity to hear two of the world's greatest trumpet players in action later this month, when the legendary duo of Matthias Hofs and Mike Lovatt will be featured in a special 'Big Fat Brass' event at the Royal College of Music in London on Wednesday 19th October.

Big Fat Brass

The concert will feature the music from the band leader Billy May, and his iconic 1958 'Big Fat Brass' album.

It will be the first time that Matthias and Mike will have performed together and they will be accompanied by the RCM Brass Ensemble directed by Nigel Black.

The event will also present the world premiere of specially commissioned arrangements by Colin Skinner.

Time and place

It all kicks off at 7.30pm at the Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall, and tickets are just £5.00.
