Brass band fans are reminded that they will have a brilliant opportunity to hear two of the world's greatest trumpet players in action this week, when the legendary duo of Matthias Hofs and Mike Lovatt will be featured in a special 'Big Fat Brass' event at the Royal College of Music in London on Wednesday 19th October.

The concert will feature the music from the band leader Billy May, and his iconic 1958 'Big Fat Brass' album.
It will be the first time that Matthias and Mike will have performed together and they will be accompanied by the RCM Brass Ensemble directed by Nigel Black.
The event will also present the world premiere of specially commissioned arrangements by Colin Skinner.
