Derwent Brass has welcomed the talented tuba player Steve Bottomley to the ranks of the Midland Championship Section band.

The experienced player has previously enjoyed success with the likes of NSK Ransome, Foss Dyke, Thoresby Colliery and most recently Newstead Brass.

Derwent MD, Keith Leonard told 4BR: "We are pleased to welcome Steve. He is a player with a wealth of banding experience which will complement the variety already found in our tuba section and wide ranging musical repertoire.
