Entertainers get ready for Kinross

Eight bands will compete at the Northern Counties Brass Band Association Open Contest in Kinross this weekend — so get along and enjoy the entertainment.

Northern Counties BBA
  The Northern Counties Brass Band Association is hosting the event in Kinross

Nine bands from across Scotland go head to head at the Northern Counties Brass Band Association Open Contest this Sunday (4th June), at Loch Leven Community Campus in Kinross.

They will be hoping to impress adjudicator Andrew Duncan with their 20-minute entertainment programmes, in a bid to carry off the title of Northern Counties Champion Band.

Prizes

There should be plenty to play for across the board, with prizes on offer for 'Best Band' in each section, as well as for 'Best Percussion', 'Best Soloist' and 'Most Entertaining Programme'.

Spectator admission for what is sure to be an enjoyable and varied day's music making is priced at £6 (£3 concessions), with doors opening at 10.30am and the first band taking to the stage at 11.00am
