The popular Dublin Festival of Brass is looking for entries for its 2018 event.

  The 2018 Dublin Festival of Brass is now open to entries

Registration is now open for the 2018 Dublin Festival of Brass and the popular battle to claim the Paul E. Droste Shield.

The event will take place on Saturday, March 24th at Dublin Jerome Performing Arts Center in Dublin, Ohio, USA. The contest format sees each band performing a major work, a march and a slow melody.

Mead

A spokesperson told 4BR: "The adjudicator for the 2018 event will be Besson euphonium artist Steven Mead. We have been using Steven's criteria based assessment rubric, so we are delighted to have its creator involved.

The Caption Adjudicator will be William Ballenger, Director of the School of Music at The Ohio State University."

Registration must be completed by December 1st, 2017. However, if there is an excessively high demand the organisers may have to limit the number of bands to the first entries received.
