Radio 2 Young Brass Award semi-finalists announced

The eight talented players that hope to become the 2018 Young Brass Award winner have been revealed.

The eight talented musicians that will perform in the 2018 Radio 2 Young Brass Award Semi Final have been announced.

They are:
James Nash (Trumpet)
Paul Mitchell (Trumpet)
Sam Dye (Trombone)
Jordan Robertson (Trombone)
Cameron Scott (Euphonium)
Christopher Barron (Tuba)
Thomas Nielsen (Cornet)
Ross Dunne (Tenor horn)

The performances will then be sent to the judges who will select four to go through to the Final which will be broadcast live from the Royal Northern College of Music on April 20th4BR

Four finalists

Each performer will record a 10 minute programme of their own choice with Foden's Band and conductor Michael Fowles on February 10th in the BBC's Philharmonic Studio.

Tintwistle Band

June 15 • We have a vacancy for soprano cornet, and with lots of exciting engagements coming up would love to get this seat filled!. As a second section band,we rehearse every Monday and Thursday 8-10pm at our bandroom in Tintwistle under the baton of MD Jim Henson.
