Following an intensive period of auditions the Drighlington Band has announced the appointment of 20 year old Tommy Tynan as their new Musical Director. He will make his contest debut at the forthcoming First Section Yorkshire Area Championships.

Although relatively new to conducting, having only led fellow Yorkshire band Linthwaite Band a couple of years ago, Tommy is certainly looking forward to the opportunity.
