The Market Rasen Band has already fielded a great response to their Black Dyke workshop day to be held at Lincoln Minster School on Saturday 28th April.

The event starts at 10.00am, finishing at 3.30pm with the principal players of Black Dyke undertaking both group and individual tuition followed by an ensemble session led by Prof Nicholas Childs.

Conducting and composition

There will also be a conducting workshop also led by the Black Dyke Director of Music as well as a composition workshop with Paul Lovatt-Cooper.

The event is supported by Lottery funding enabling the Market Rasen Band to open the event to all brass band players, especially from the Lincolnshire area.

Evening concert

The day will conclude with an evening concert at the magnificent Lincoln Cathedral (7.30pm).

The cost of tickets for the evening concert is £20, but for all workshop attendees will also enjoy a full day of tuition, a sandwich lunch and the evening concert for the same price.
