Dobcross Youth aim for world record rehearsal

The indefatigable youngsters of Dobcross Youth Band will be raising funds by trying blow their way to a place in the Guinness Book of World Records

Dobcross Youth Band will be attempting to gain an entry in the famous Guinness Book of World Records next month.

24 marathon

On Friday 30th March they will make an attempt on breaking the record for the longest brass band rehearsal — an amazing 24 hour marathon.

2018 marks 30 years of Dobcross Youth Band, which has over the years produced players that have gone on to grace the ranks of many of the finest bands in the UK.

This summer the band will be travelling to France and Belgium and will perform at the famous Menin Gate.

As a fundraiser for the holiday, the band members will be trying to collect as much sponsorship as possible through their record breaking efforts:
