Mount Charles aims for Spring Festival revival

After taking he decision to opt out of the West of England Championships, the Mount Charles Band looks to make a significant return in Blackpool.

  Mount Charles looks towards the Winter Gardens in Blackpool to return to the contesting scene.

After taking the difficult decision not to compete in the Championship Section of the recent West of England Regional Championships in Torquay, the Mount Charles Band from Cornwall is rebuilding towards their appearance at the British Open Spring Festival in Blackpool in May.

Spokesperson, Megan Alexander told 4BR: "Thanks to months of hard work and dedication both in the bandroom and behind the scenes, we have seen a steady interest from players wishing to join the successful rebuilding work which is now firmly in place."

She added: "Having chosen to retain a low profile entering into 2018 while the team strengthens and grows, we are delighted that we are eagerly preparing for our return to the Spring Festival in a few weeks time under the baton of the highly experienced John Maines."
