Wychavon Festival signs up for BBE BandSafe training programme

The Wychavon Festival will be undertaking Brass Bands England BandSafe training to benefit all their competing bands.

Wychavon
The Wychavon Festival of Brass has signed up for the BBE scheme.

The Wychavon Festival of Brass has become one of the first contest organisations to sign up for Brass Band England's BandSafe Training programmes.

A spokesperson for the contest which celebrates its 30th anniversary later this year when the event takes place in Evesham on Saturday 2nd November, told 4BR: "A thorough understanding and working knowledge of Child Performance Licensing issues is of vital importance to an event such as ours."

Opportunity

They added: "Running a major contest takes a great deal of organisation and dedication, and Brass Bands England now offers the opportunity to cover these specific issues.

We will be signing up for the first training day in Evesham and will keep all the bands who have entered our 2019 contest up to date with developments and what it will mean for them.

We are sure it will be of great benefit to everyone involved."
