Foden's have announced the signing of the experienced percussionist Jonathan Kitchen.

Jonathan studied cello at the Royal College of Music and has subsequently enjoyed a highly successful freelance professional career most recently on the UK and European tour of the hit musical 'Miss Saigon'.

Experience

His banding experience has included tenures at Aveley & Newham, Redbridge Brass, Virtuosi GUS and from 2014, Brighouse & Rastrick.

Speaking about the move, Jon told 4BR: "I'm delighted to be joining such a forward thinking and committed band.

Originally I was asked to provide maternity leave cover, but due to enjoying my time so much I decided to make this a permanent move. I've had a rewarding time with Brighouse but the 200 mile round trip had become too draining.

I'm looking forward to the British Open and in helping the band defend their National title."

He is such an accomplished and experienced musician who will be a valuable asset to the band."
