The Golborne Band has announced the appointment of Joshua Hughes as their new Musical Director.

Chairman Shaun Breen told 4BR: "We are looking forward to this new chapter with enthusiasm and are certain that Josh will bring a fresh and dynamic approach to drive the band forward."

Too good

In response Joshua added: "After helping the band over the summer period it was apparent from the start the quality and ambition to strive to be successful on the contest and concert platform was too good an opportunity to turn down.

The band has already implemented some great ideas and there's a real buzz in rehearsals."
