Foden's on look out for injection of youth

Young players can once again enjoy being part of the Foden's Youth and Junior Bands — the ideal way to help develop their musical skill sets.

The Foden's Youth and Junior Bands offer great opportunities for young players

Registration is now open for this year's Foden's Youth and Foden's Junior Bands.

Youth Band

Now in its eighth year the Foden's Youth Band welcomes players from across the North West, Midlands, North Wales and Yorkshire to monthly rehearsals led by the National Champion's team of experienced conductors and tutors.

Players aged 21 or under of Grade 5 standard or above are welcome to apply.

Many previous members of the band now study at the UKs leading conservatoires and hold seats in many of the top bands in the country.

Junior Band

The Foden's Junior Band was formed in 2015 to give players of Grade 2-5 standard the opportunity to gain the same kind of monthly experiences that the youth band enjoy.

Directed by Anna Hughes-Williams, the band has developed immensely and thanks to partnerships with Accent Music Hub Warrington, is provided free of charge.

The initiative is once again linked to the Royal Northern College of Music who will be sending third year students to shadow Foden's Band tutors as part of their studies.

This partnership has proved highly inspirational for the young musicians in the band.
