White River set for Scottish Festival appearance

The White River Brass Ensemble will perform at the Scottish Festival of Brass in Perth later this month.

The White River Brass Ensemble is to appear before the results of the Scottish Festival of Brass Scottish Open Championship in Perth on the 23rd November.

The ensemble consists of players from Black Dyke Band and was founded by trombone player Brett Baker.

20th anniversary

White River Brass Ensemble is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and has already appeared at the Empire Theatre in Consett with Consett Salvation Army Band as part of their 140th anniversary celebrations.

The six-piece group will play two pieces recently featured on a live broadcast from Black Dyke's tour to Japan as well as some classic favourites everyone in the audience is sure to enjoy.

The players are sponsored by the Geneva Group and will use instruments that will also be available for brass band players to try during the weekend.
