Well known professional trombonist Carol Jarvis was heard on Radio 4 recently talking about another great passion in her life — helping to raise money for the charity Lymphoma Action.

Carol was 26 when she was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma and underwent a decade of treatment supported by the charity.

She is now a leading advocate for its work — combining her busy professional career with trying to help raise the profile of the organisation whenever and wherever she can.

Every 27 minutes

Lymphoma is the fifth most common cancer in the UK, with someone diagnosed every 27 minutes — more than 50 families every day receiving the news.

Lymphoma Action is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting everyone affected by lymphoma — including family and friends.

The charity provides help, advice, interaction and support for people at diagnosis, through treatment, and to help them live with and beyond lymphoma.
