The experienced Simon Crowley has joined the TCTC Group Band as they look ahead to Area challenge.

The TCTC Group Band has boosted its euphonium ranks ahead of the 2020 season with the signing of Simon Crowley.

An experienced and highly respected performer, Simon spent over ten years with the Rode Hall Silver Band and was instrumental in the development of the organisation. He previously played solo baritone with the BT Band before taking a break from playing.

We offer a warm welcome to Simon who is a super player. His first appearance with us will be at a special Area Preview event that we are hosting on Saturday 15th FebruaryMD, Jef Sparkes

MD Jef Sparkes told 4BR: "We offer a warm welcome to Simon who is a super player. His first appearance with us will be at a special Area Preview event that we are hosting on Saturday 15th February."

Jef revealed that the line-up for the free event at Ruskin Community High School in Crewe (7.00pm start) will involve five bands, one from each contesting section performing their Area test-piece.

Championship Section: TCTC Group Band
First Section: Marple Band
Second Section: Crewe Brass
Third Section: Rode Hall Silver
Fourth Section: Trentham Brass
