Van Looy signs for Swansea

The Geneva Group euphonium star will head to Swansea later this year to showcase his talents at the International Brass Band Summer School.

The International Brass Band Summer School has confirmed that the internationally acclaimed euphonium soloist Glenn Van Looy will be featured in their 'Geneva Celebrity Spotlight' during this year's 30th anniversary course.

His appearance in Swansea is in conjunction with Geneva Group, who is once again sponsoring what is regarded as Europe's premier Summer School event.

Solo recital

The Belgian star who now lives in Switzerland and performs all over the world, will perform a solo recital on the Wednesday night.

Course Administrator Alison Childs told 4BR: "The International Brass Band Summer School prides itself on being able to attract the world's finest soloists to be part of the week long experience in Swansea.

Secure place

There has already been an excellent take-up to secure places on the 2020 course which runs from Sunday 2nd August to Saturday 8th August.
