Sovereign Brass has announced the signing of Callum Davis as their new Eb tuba player.

Callum began playing the tenor horn with Sandwell Music Service before switching to the Eb tuba in High School.

Now an accomplished performer having won local competitions throughout his education, as well as participating in outreach initiatives with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, he currently enjoying his third and final year as a player with the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain.

BBb tuba player Andy Monk told 4BR: "The addition of such a talented youth to the bass section is a welcome signing and Callum will first perform with us at the upcoming Oxford Contest."
