Australian soloists given opportunity to shine on-line

A new on-line competition will hopefully attract the best brass and woodwind competitors to showcase their solo talents.

Due to the cancellation of the 2020 Australian National Band Championships in Perth over Easter weekend, a new initiative has just been launched to keep the competitive juices flowing.

On-line

Organised by Michael Jongebloed in Hawthorn, Victoria and linked to Tim Kelly at Brassbanned.com the 'Fine Music Online Championships' is an on-line solo competition for brass and woodwind players from all over Australia.

Competitors are asked to video a performance of the set repertoire that would have been used at the National Championships. A panel of adjudicators will critique each performance and decide on the winner of each section.

Streamed and enter

Videos of all entries will be streamed on the Brassbanned.com website for the whole world to see.

Entries close on Sunday May 17th 2020

The event will be streamed on the weekend of May 30th.
