Finest

Kirsty is regarded as one of the brass band movement's finest lyrical cornet soloists, with a remarkable CV of awards and prizes to her name at the highest level throughout her career.

She most recently claimed the Harry Mortimer 'Best Principal Cornet Award' at the 2017 and 2018 Brass in Concert Championships as well as the 'Best Soloist' accolade in 2019.

Her CD recordings 'Soliloquoy' and 'A Search for Peace' were received with widespread critical and popular acclaim.

Perfect

Talking about her appointment Kirsty said: "This marvellous new instrument is ideal for all musical settings.

Speaking for myself, it is simply perfect, particularly for melodic legato. In short, it provides everything needed for any cornet player."
