Astley Youth Band links up with leading brass band performers for a free Brass Day. So don't miss out on the chance from learning from the best...

Glyn
Glyn and Helen Williams will be part of the tutor team

Astley Youth Band will host a free online 'Brass Day' later this month.

They will be delivering seven different sessions on Saturday 24th October designed to cater for a mixture of playing abilities from beginner to advanced, children and adult players. There's even a session for parents with hints and tips on supporting their youngsters!

Tutors

There is also a cracking list of tutors to be inspired by, with Ewan Easton MBE, Principal Tuba with the Halle Orchestra, Glyn and Helen Williams from Cory joined by Jon Stokes, a top London freelance trombonist who will share his specialist knowledge of soul, funk and jazz and Arlene McFarlane, a stunning trombonist and one of Scotland's most passionate music educators.

Welcome

Spokesperson Helen Minshall told 4BR: "We want to welcome as many people as possible to this free event, so please take time to read the details about each session and then sign up for the ones you want to attend using the Google form on the website.

The free day is open to everyone!"
