The four-year musical partnership between Jackfield Band and conductor David Maplestone has come to an end.

The Midlands band stated that they would like to thank him for his huge contribution which saw a number of contest podium finishes, including a top-six finish at the 2021 First Section National Final.

Thanks have also been given to baritone player Nichola Aulton, who has also left after more than 10 years playing with them.

Leadership

The new musical leadership team will be spearheaded by Simon Platford and Ryan Richards.

Simon previously conducted the band up to 2018 before taking a break to concentrate on work commitments, whilst Ryan has already enjoy success with the baton with Enderby Band as well as on trombone with Tredegar Band.
