Foden's adds to local presence to add to world wide appeal

The National Champion has made sure visitors can find out more about them in the heart of their town.

Fodens plinth
The plinth is positioned in the centre of Sandbach

Ahead of their Brass in Concert challenge to a worldwide audience at Sage Gateshead this weekend, Foden's has added to their local community presence with the installation of an information plinth about the band in the heart of their hometown of Sandbach.

Information

In December 2020 the National Champion was successful in a Heritage Lottery Fund application, part of which was to fund several local projects. One of these was the plinth to enable visitors to find out more about the band on the spot and through their mobile phones.

The plinth gives general information about the history of Foden's as well as a QR code that takes people to their new website.

Proud association

Speaking about the project Band Manager Mark Wilkinson told 4BR: "We have a long and very proud association with the town of Sandbach and we are delighted that this plinth is positioned in the town centre to offer supporters and visitors the opportunity to find out more about us."
