David W Ashworth has announced his resignation as Musical Director of the St John's Band (Mossley)with immediate effect.
4BR was informed that the highly experienced conductor and AoBBA adjudicator has resigned due to differences in respect to the future vision for the Fourth Section North West Area band.

He informed 4BR that he wished to thank the band for the time he has had with them, and the effort and commitment shown. Together they came fifth at the Buxton Festival and third and the Rochdale Contest in late October.
He said: "We had a great time together and the whole band has shown such an improvement. It's sad, but these things happen."
