Volunteer opportunities at Youth Championships

Brass Bands England announce volunteer opportunities at the 2025 Youth Championships of Great Britain

Brass Bands England (BBE) announced at its Brass Band Conference in London on the weekend that volunteer opportunities are available for the 2025 National Youth Brass Band Championships of Great Britain to be held on 29th March at Hymers College in Hull.

The 'Youth Champs' bring together youth bands from across the UK, with the new initiative set to give people the chance to offer practical additional support in many vital roles to help in the running of the event.

Roles

These include supporting traders, welcoming, meeting and greeting audience members and band coaches, co-ordinating, stage crew assistance, stewarding, programme sales, box office support and much more.

BBE hopes that by being proactively involved it will not only add to people's enjoyment of the day but will also give experiences that can be used in future job applications and potential career opportunities.

Travel expenses will be covered as well as hotel accommodation where appropriate

All volunteers will be required to complete a self-declaration form before representing BBE at the event.

Smooth running

A BBE spokesperson told 4BR: "The involvement will not only ensure the smooth running of the Championships but also provide a warm and welcoming experience for all participants and attendees.

If you're passionate about music and eager to get involved, we want to hear from you!
