Black Dyke to host Area spotlights

The defending Yorkshire Area champion will lead a Friday evening of test-piece previews in Ossett.

Yorkshire Regional Champions, Black Dyke Band will take a slightly different approach to their final Area contest preparations ahead of their title defence in Huddersfield this weekend.

Preview evening

They will be hosting a free 'Preview Evening' at Ossett Town Hall on Friday 28th February (doors open at 7.30pm for a prompt 8.00pm start).

Black Dyke Band will be performing the Championship Section test-piece 'Diversions' by Derek Bourgeois, whilst City of Bradford Band will showcase Morley Calvert's 'Introduction, Elegy and Caprice'.

Hatfield & Askern Band will spotlight 'Friendly Takeover' by Oliver Waespi, with Queensbury Music Centre Band performing 'I, Daedalus' by Andrea Price.

April 3 • We have vacancies for a trombone player and a bass player. Cleethorpes Band rehearse near the seafront on Thursday and Sunday evenings. Placed 3rd in the NOE 4th section. Other players are always welcome as we may be able to switch positions around
