Further details of the 2026 European Brass Band Championship to be held in Linz, Austria were revealed at the recent EBBA Annual General Meeting in Stavanger.

The event will run from April 22nd to April 26th based at the city's outstanding Brucknerhaus Concert Hall complex. It sees the contest return to Linz for a second time after it hosted the event in 2010.

Presentation

A presentation was made by representatives led by Margot Nazzal, Director of the Culture Department of the State Government, which showcased the city, the Brucknerhaus and the list of events and features.

These will include concerts given by the European Youth Brass Band, the European Soloist Competition, the Championship Section and Challenge Section contests and the European Youth Championships.

Competing bands will be provided with extensive information about hotels and bespoke rehearsal facilities with percussion equipment.
