The City of Traralgon Brass Band from Victoria in Australia will be making the long haul trip to the UK this year to take part in the Whit Friday contests around Saddleworth and Tameside.
Their trip will include a tour of the UK, France, Belgium and Denmark as well as a visit to attend a rehearsal given by Black Dyke Band.
Cutty Sark seats
One of the highlights is also planned concert performance in front of the famous Cutty Sark tea clipper ship in Greenwich in London.
However, they will not be provided with chairs for the concert for the players, and despite asking a variety of sources, they have been left standing — literally so at the moment.
Band President, Alan Wilson told 4BR: "We are really looking forward to the trip, meeting up with old friends and performing at these wonderful venues.
The concert in front of the Cutty Sark is something we are also thrilled to be doing, but we do need some practical help. If anyone can help in providing 35 chairs we would be so grateful. We are willing to pay a proper hire fee from a local band if someone can come to our assistance."

Any help appreciated
He added: "We would also like to hire some percussion equipment in France on Friday 20th June. We are performing an outdoor concert at Rouen.
We have contacted several outlets but we have yet to get any response. Any help would be greatly appreciated."
