Short lists announced for BBE Awards

The short list nominations for 2025 Brass Band England Awards have been released — with you able to vote on the 'Project of the Year'.

Brass Bands England has announced its shortlist of nominations for its 2025 Awards.

The nominations have come from a wide range of responses from the brass band community, with people now able to vote on the 'Band of the Year' project.

BBE Conference

The winners will be announced at Brass Band England's Brass Band Conference on Saturday 27th September at the Redhills Durham Miners Hall, Durham.

Themed around 'The Next Generation', the programme for this year's event will focus on intergenerational learning, leadership, inclusion and the changing landscape of participation in the brass band world.

Tickets will be available from 10.00am on Friday 20th June, via the BBE website. BBE members are eligible for one free delegate place per Organisation or Individual Membership if they book by 25 July.

Alder Valley Brass

June 19 • Bb bass player. We are an ambitious, busy and sociable 2nd section band (L&SC, National finalists 2023) with a varied blend of engagements, concerts and contests. We rehearse 8-10pm Mondays and Thursdays in Farnham, Surrey. Other enquiries welcome.


Chinnor Silver

June 17 • Our COMMUNITY BAND meet again on Monday (22nd) and we welcome players of all standards to join us for a relaxed,friendly rehearsal with Tea and cake and it’s all free.. Rehearsals are at 11am in our own bandroom playing with us does not effect your band.

June 16 • Longridge Band invite applications for the positions of Flugel and Eb Bass.. We are a friendly and committed band that enjoys a great balance of concerts and contests throughout the year. A contribution to travel expenses are provided.
